$28,000 to organize a public conference and other meetings exploring the human and environmental health and safety threats posed by a synthetic biology laboratory.

$50,000 in general support of work promoting a progressive vision of the Constitution in law, public policy, and jurisprudence and building a network of progressive lawyers, law students, and decision-makers.

$35,000 plus $7,500 in matching funds for the Nanomaterials in Food Program, which uses supply chain research and shareholder advocacy to keep potentially harmful nanomaterials out of food and food packaging, and promotes disclosure of nanomaterials used in food.

Asociación Interamericana para la Defensa del Ambiente
$50,000 for the Human Rights and the Environment Program, which addresses environmentally based human rights violations throughout the Western Hemisphere. Also, $20,000 to sponsor a legal fellowship at the nexus of human rights and environmental law.

Association Guinéenne pour l'Allègement des Charges Féminines

$40,000 in general support of work to marshal grassroots efforts around the country challenging national security and counterterrorism policies that threaten civil liberties.

The Brennan Center
$50,000 for the Liberty and National Security Project to produce reports on domestic intelligence collection by state and local law enforcement, and on what happens to information after it is collected, and to make recommendations for reform.

Center for Constitutional Rights
$150,000 in general support of litigation, organizing, and education efforts to protect constitutional rights in the areas of national security, corporate accountability, free speech, and racial, social, economic and LGBTQ justice.
